Service Description
Breastfeeding Consultation Home Visits (dependent on location) are ideal for addressing specific concerns, to get hands on support with adjusting latching and positioning, and creating a personalised action plan. Support and guidance can be given on many common breastfeeding concerns such as: Antenatal preparation including anatomy and physiology, colostrum harvesting, breast milk composition, and understanding infant feeding cues New baby breastfeeding challenges such as struggling with latching or positioning issues, low milk supply, nipple pain, or any other general breastfeeding concern (please note, should I have any serious concerns regarding your baby's feeding or weight, I would signpost on to your local hospital Infant Feeding Team who are better placed to deal with more complex issues and medical concerns) Returning to work after maternity leave - strategies for managing expressing, storing milk, and balancing work with feeding Reflux support - managing reflux while breastfeeding or combination feeding, including guidance on optimal feeding positions, paced feeding techniques, recognising signs of reflux vs. normal newborn behaviour Additional travel costs may be applicable for home visits outside a 15 mile radius from High Wycombe. Please get in touch to discuss costs and availability - visits can often be arranged at relatively short notice.
Cancellation Policy
Unless under extenuating circumstances, full refunds are only possible if cancellation is made more than 7 days before the scheduled session. Cancellations between 4-7 days before the booked call or visit will receive a 50% refund, unless you choose to reschedule to another date. Cancellations with 3 or less days notice before the call or visit are unfortunately not eligible for a refund, but every effort will be made to reschedule the appointment to a mutually convenient time. As much notice of cancellation (or rescheduling|) as possible would be appreciated, but it is understood that sometimes things happen that are unpredictable!
